The answer is Alvy Moore--OK--ohtay!
Fi's up if he wants it--
-
Don't you want to tell us about his TV show???
This time I'm going to kick you--Alvy Moore is Hank Kimball on "Green Acres".
Fi, You've had a rough day--but you still win.
Fi's turn--

Evelyn Keyes played 42nd Streeter, Ruby Keeler, in *The Jolson Story* with Larry Parks.
-
Think that guy was in the police drama "The Naked City".
The actor I described mainly did comedy--has a very familiar face. And most Americans know all about the classic TV sitcom that he was a regular in--it was an ensemble cast. Also, The show's 2 stars both had movie careers.
-
Linda Darnell is the correct answer--I was referring to how Linda and Gene both shared Ty as a leading man at 20th Century Fox.
Fi's still up--
-
I'm sorry--I should have made it clear we're talking about a guy here.
-
Yes, --Linda Darnell shared Ty with Gene Tierney. I call that a win-win situation.
Fi's up--
-
Did I give all the right clues???
It's just a great movie and I don't even like those kind of films, but I love Richard Widmark and Thelma Ritter--that helped a lot.
Mr. Finance is up--
-
Don Ameche was in *One in a Million* with Sonja Henie.
-
You're hot and cold. But I don't remember this guy (Vigran) being a regular on a classic '60's sitcom. But stay with Dick Powell.

Fi--I don't know much about Film Noir; I just getting in to it. But I think this film is a real big deal.
Let me tell you that the character actress playing the "Snitch" won the Oscar for her role. And the whole film won the Venice Film Festival's Lion d'or as well.
Film is from the 1950's.--and rather gritty.
-
He's adorable--
This pix reminds me of how my Yorkie, Abbey Road, would act when I played The Bee Gees' "Jive Talking"--The only thing that would calm him down would be Frank Sinatra. Beats me what was wrong with that dog.
-
I had great success as an ensemble member of one of America's classic sitcoms in the 1960's.
And I did lots of TV in the '50's and 60's.
But I actually started in movies--I appeared in a Gregory Peck movie, a movie starring Jack Lemon and supported Dick Powell in his last film role.
You may not remember my name, but everybody knows my face.
Do you know me?

This is definitely a post World-War II noir film about small time crooks in America's biggest city. They inadvertently get involved with a foreign spy ring, who are warriors in the "Cold War".

*Funny Girl*
Next: Shrimps
-
Hate to be a stickler on this one--but the actress I'm referring to was only 16 in 1939 when she first starred opposite Ty Power and became one of his 20th Century Fox Leading Ladies.
-
Everybody knows that the veddy American Bob Hope was born in England.
-
*My Man Godfrey*
next: cheap nightclubs
-
Saw Jack Carson first-run in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"--Talk about an A-List of actors:
Elizabeth Taylor
Burl Ives
Paul Newman
Dame Judith Anderson
and Jack Carson
To be billed with these actors in a Tennessee Williams movie 1950's film, which earned 6 Oscar Nominations--This sounds more like an Over-Achiever--when you mix that with his other to Gigantic roles in the Oscar nominated pix--
"Mildred Pierce" & "A Star Is Born"
-
You're hot because you've probably got the Matinee idol--from the look of your guess--
But the teenage actress in question was 10 whole years younger than Miss Young.
-
Don't like Kirk Douglas and Mickey Rooney--so the only ones left are Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine and Sydney Poitier. At this point, I have to add the Beatty siblings--although they're both a little on the ego side--but they were very good.
*****Only great living tap star--I can think of is Shirley Temple. Highly underrated as a tap dancer.
-
Could be nobody else. She carried every movie she appeared in.
Now the Wonderful Miss Lavenderblue 19--
-
Pre-WWII Hollywood would place us around 1938-1941.
-
BIG hint--Depardieu is in the cast.
