Brian Wilson wrote much of Jan & Dean's stuff, as you probably well know.

Worry--I spent my summer nights enjoying Judy in St. Louis, Jeanette MacDonald in Paris and the first film I saw at 9 was *Of Human Bondage*--It taught me to have compassion for people who were disabled and not to take advantage of persons in difficulty. And Bette in *A Stolen Life* taught me that honesty will out.

Flashback--we're laid back here, indeed.
Your response is correct. Every Fri night I still get my kicks on "Route 66".
Flash is up--

Being Cuban is a nationality not a race or an ethnicity.

All of your films co-star the marvelous Una Merkel.

Being a life long fan of Brian Wilson's, I've always wanted to know more about Dick Dale's music. Can you tell me how he inspired Brian's writing?

Dear Movie Madness--
I grew up watching nearly all the films on TCM--saw most of the 30's and 40's and many stark ones from the 50's, like East of Eden and Waterfront before I was 12. And if I may say so, I didn't turn out so badly. Get a Grip.

A little dog with a black spot above his eye--Movie, dog etc., etc.

Having seen these films many times since the 1960's, I'm always amazed at how well Astaire and Rogers acted during the dance numbers.
For two people who actually hated each other, they handled themselves very well professionally. That's what show business is all about.

From what I heard from the people who were her fans in the 30's, she had tremendous charisma on screen. Something you can't learn--you're born with it. Her first fans still speak of her with love and adoration.
Her beauty is obvious. I think her mannerisms, walking etc. were natural and were well-suited to her personality.
She was one of those stars the camera-loved. And her natural timing and comedic talents were second to nobody--i.e. *Dinner At Eight*, *China Seas* or *Libeled Lady*.
Obvioiusly, Mary Astor, Myrna Loy, Ruth Chatterton, or Norma Shearer and many others were better actresses--But none of them are screen legends today, are they?

Now--2 movies with a similar plot line:
1) Local European Native is fired from an American Embassy job in Europe for "fraternizing" with an American employee.
2) Local Asian Native is fired from a British hospital in Asia for "fraternizing" with a married American.
