I have The Everlys on CD and play them all the time--I suppose "Poor Jenny" is my favorite. They remind me of my childhood--not just their music but the tumultuous relationship between siblings.

*Inherit the Wind* is a great film and marvelous acting. Gene Kelly's line as H.L. Mencken is worth the price of admission--"Hello, Devil (to Tracy) welcome to Hell."
Having said all that, the film is a deliberate mockery and indictment of The Bible and anyone who disagrees with evolution.
I don't mind March dropping dead in the courtroom--he died a few days or a week later from the stress--they do have literary license.
What I do mind is the hateful way all the Christians are presented in the film. We're not all idiotic and intolerant. But I suppose that's literary license too.

Aside from being old, David Niven and Cary Grant were something else--They were Great Big Movie Stars! That's what people tune in to see.

I remember when Bob Hope was the perennial host; then it was Johnny Carson--but frankly Billy Crystal was the best there ever was in the last 50 years. I wonder what he was doing last night. Maybe the same as me, watching a movie.

Randy Newman's "You Can Leave Your Hat On"--from *The Full Monty* was a favorite of mine by Joe Cocker before Tom Jones sang it in the movie. Is "Baby Take Off Your Hat" a sequel?
