  1. Yes Metz--Karloff does his Monster without makeup--sheer genius! It's Metz's turn--
  2. This auteur director acted in one of his last films, which was ironically about death. Also ironically he appeared in the most popular film of 1982--just 2 years before his death. We want the name of the morbid film he directed--and his name--which will be forever in the pantheon of the New Wave directors.
  3. Laird Cregar was in *The Black Swan* with Tyrone Power.
  4. no, but you're in the right ballpark. 9--The singer has all her apparel monogrammed.
  5. Jean Harlow & Howard Hughes next: Howard Hughes

  10. Everybody Loves A Lover--Gee, I feel just like a Pollyana! In honor of Valentine Day and Love, this thread is devoted to "the many loves" of the stars--legal, longterm, short-termed or just whispered about. This should go fast and furious-- Let's start: for example Clark Gable Answer--Carole Lombard-- Next: LOMBARD
  11. He appeared in several made for TV movies of the "Over the Hill Gang"--and I think that is otay! CMVGOR today!
  12. We're still up with Clint Eastwood and Mr. Ed's Arthur Lubin--

  14. "Sis, you Know that ain't no one but Bo!" Bojangles
  15. Lana was magnificent in *Portrait in Black* with Anthony Quinn.

  17. C.--I love Glen's guitar solo in "Wichita"--it reminds me of early Elvis recordings--or maybe Duane Eddy--Did you like him?
  18. He didn't forget the words to "Kansas City" its a medley with another song--ck Bogle's entry. It was on the American #6 album--a lost gem of a record. I really liked 2 numbers on it--"Bad Boy Jr, Behave Yourself and "Every Little Thing You Do". A minor Beatle album, but so memorable. Edited by: cujas on Feb 11, 2011 4:17 PM
  19. What made it all the worse was that marrying ended his dream of being a "real" doctor. Also so sad was that the father would never forgive the daughter. All during the play, he refused to even speak to Booth on the phone.
  20. Lavendar--you'll so cool!--that wasn't easy either. Ms. Lavendar has the floor--
  21. no kidding--I must have heard of him, but I really don't associate him with classic motion pictures, do you?
