  1. Yes--She and her husband Larry Parks were both blacklisted. I always had the upmost respect for them and how they maintained their dignity, when so many others lost theirs. They both were such tremendously talented people, whose leagcy is their contribution to the American Hollywood musical.

  2. I think The Byrds were way out there, like The Yardbirds in innovation--and politically on target like Buffalo. But being a Brit Invasion fanatic, it's The Hollies music that I still play and find the most personally rewarding. Reportedly, at the time, they were George's favorite.

     

    A particular favorite of mine is "I Can't Say Goodbye"--Linda Ronstadt gave it more than a second wind. But then she had a terrific Brit Invasion of a producer to push her on--Peter Asher.
