Really like the ending after Colossus sounded EXACTLY like my Color Computer Speech Pack. May explain how the sound effects were done (waveform generators).

It is my understanding that the props were an odd mixture of computers which were being manufactured and sold at the time, knobs and switches cannibalized from old computers stuck on boxes and frames made by the prop department and that the studio's actual accounting computer was the centerpiece. It would not surprise me that TRS hardware and software made it into the mix.

SansFin - You first told me about Kondom des Grauens, and I sought it out, watched it, and liked it. I also own The Grapes of Death on disc.

It makes me very happy that you liked Kondom des Grauens (1969). I find it very worrisome to recommend movies which are quirky because it is nearly by definition that not all people will like them since universal appeal instantly transfers them 'unconventional' to 'mainstream'.

If the vape juices are full of chemicals, I would imagine that they're basically poisoning themselves.

Air is a mixture of chemicals. The scent of flowers are chemicals. All that you eat and drink are chemicals.

Good vape juice is made of chemicals approved by the FDA for human consumption because they do little or no harm.

Are you a Vaper? Or is it Vapist? Or perhaps Vapomancer?

I occasionally vape a cherry-menthol blend which I mix because I could not find a pre-made one from a reputable dealer with the balance of flavors which I prefer.

A decent rule-of-thumb for accessing vape is the volume exhaled. The good ones used in a proper device are similar to breaths on a frosty day. Great clouds are produced only with improper devices and/or cheap mixtures.

The fruity sweet smelling vaping smoke is just as bad as cigarette smoke in my opinion. That stuff gives me a major headache. There was someone vaping in front of me at a concert I went to a couple weeks ago.  It was not appreciated.  I was hoping security would confiscate it, but they never did.

That was quite likely the cheap stuff which is quite bad for you. The good juices use flavorings which are not as aromatic.

It was common in my youth to carry two packs of cigarettes of different brands. The good ones were the ones which you smoked and the cheap ones were for those who bummed. I am completely convinced that I knew people who were two-pack-a-day smokers who never purchased a single cigarette in their life.

Vaping ranges from being much better than smoking cigarettes to being much worse. The difference is in the quality of the 'juice'. The good ones have the same base as many asthma inhalers and the flavors are all FDA-approved in both type and purity. The bad ones are industrial-quality carriers and they often rely on flavorings which are inexpensive because the batch was rejected from food and odorant streams due to impurities. The latter will often include materials which Glade would not use in air fresheners.

The main attractions of vaping are that one does not have to consume an entire cigarette when only one or two puffs are wanted and there are several thousands of chemicals in tobacco that are not present in good vaping juice.

  7. It would have been nice if they had included: Even Dwarfs Started Small (1970) as it combines both mental and physical differences.

It is of dwarfs in an institution. They rebel but do not try to escape because they know that they would not be institutionalized if there was a place for them in the world.

I believe that the best description of the movie is contained in one of the reviews for it on IMDB.com: "This film isn't just depraved and misanthropic, it's depraved and misanthropic with heart." - Food

I've also seen a cross-stitch sampler that said "Please no cocaine in the bathroom."  That would probably be okay. Haha.

This is available on: Etsy for approximately $50.

I believe that my movie-related preference would be this:

I must admit a certain fondness for the feelings behind this one:

  9. Eureka (2006-2012) This is a warm little science fiction series which I feel is accessible to even those people who do not usually watch science fiction. The focus is very much on interpersonal relationships. There is technobabble but what the viewer might be expected to understand vis-à-vis the 'science' is presented in such basic form that it is perfectly reasonable that the non-scientific, non-genius main character is able to make suggestions which lead to the solution of the problem.

A U.S. Marshall is escorting a young female prisoner when they become lost during a storm and have an accident. They walk to the nearest town for help. What they find is not a typical Pacific Northwest hamlet.

Spoilers: The primary reveals of the premiere episode are that the Marshall is separated from his wife, the prisoner is the Marshall's runaway daughter, the town is a super-secret think tank for scientific research funded by the Department of Defense, the idea that there is a line between genius and insanity is a myth, and an ex-special forces female deputy sheriff in a town full of geeks has trouble dating.

The first three seasons are a marvel as relationships develop. I am sad to say that the first half of the fourth season loses all sense of ingenuity as science fiction and the personal issues become ineffective melodrama. The second half of that season and the fifth season scrape to regain the lost momentum but are only partially successful.

I hope that those who generally do not like science fiction watch the first episode because it has a wider appeal than its genre connotes.

I like Daughters of Darkness very much, and particularly Delphine Seyrig. But my favorite lesbian vampire film is the original: Dracula's Daughter.

Delphine Seyrig was quite beautiful and a rare talent both on the screen and behind the camera. I must admit a bit of shameful suspicion that perhaps she was chosen for: Daughters of Darkness (1971) because the casting director had a touch of dyslexia and saw on her bio that she was Lebanese.

I haven't seen Vampire Lesbian Kickboxers. Is it as good as Lesbian Vampire Killers (2009), or as bad as Lust for Dracula (2004)?

I am sorry to say that I have not watched all of: Vampire Lesbian Kickboxers (2004) at normal speed. It was a friend's entry for a game wherein you fast-forward through the majority of scenes so that you present an entire movie in one-fifth of its released run-time. I found it sufficiently interesting that it is on my list of movies to watch in full when it is available.

I believe that: Lesbian Vampire Killers (2009) is a very good movie of its type. It may help that I have liked James Corden ever since seeing him as the father of Stormaggedon, Dark Lord of All in an episode of: Doctor Who.

I doubt very much that there are many movies which are as bad as: Lust for Dracula (2004).
