The Philadelphia Story?
-
Morning classicsfan! I was hoping someone would take a guess, eaito, for the sake of a clue, Pat & Mike? (BTW, we've reached 500+ replies! I'll bake a cake!)
-
Footlight Serenade?
-
Yeah in a perfect world, all the clues would click. There's always a couple stragglers. His Girl Friday?
-
the Wallace Beery The Champ?
-
It's gotta be a Lana Turner flick. Imitation of Life?
-
Roman Holiday?? ( i know the last clue stumps me...)

Thanx for asking about ,e cf! This is hard! and requires a lot of thought since it's not necessarily your favorite movie, but as feaito originally said, one you "never tire of watching". And so few movies fit this for me! I liked Antar's practical sense too. If I could pick, I'd say a feature-length film of vignettes of old commercials from the '50s and '60s, as it would remind me fondly of my childhood. I love nostalgic stuff, and I would get bored with any dramatic dialog forever and ever... -
The Prince and the Showgirl?
-
How conceited of me. I didnt realize this would hold up the thread...Anyway my answer was "Rear Window". Sorry gotta go!
-
Personally cf, I think we all three (currently) are too conscious of "finishing". Let's try just letting a few hints go and see if someone comes along and bites! Just My Humble O.
-
Yes it is fun ltl! Top Hat is good but I gave the clue in tne wrong context. I meant "dancer' (singular posession - not plural. Sorry!) Wrong answer. Hint#2: urban
-
Lemme think. A quick one.. Hint#1: dancers
-
I haven't seen it! Its on my list!
-
That's true cf - Paris doesnt fit and neither does "comedienne" actually....
-
OMG! Sunset Blvd! *LOL*
-
I meant to say "I" never was good...Sorry fea. NOTU!
-
Feaito I don't think Ive seen it either. U never was good at titles! Can you give me the answer and start new?
-
I know this too! It's the one with deceit aboard a transatlantic steamship? (She's rich and doesn't want him to know?)
-
For your movie feaito, I'll guess "The Sting"?
-
Ha?? Soeey slappy
-
I too cf know what it means not to know the movie, and I saw from Slappy, neither can ha at one point. I'll try to relieve ya but I've only got about 30 mins, fea.

Yeah path I noticed the chronology discrepancy also, especially on the 60's-70's cusp...but I didn't wanna point it out (and sound critical!) Good to know it was intentional. The Clara Bow(?) frames just seemed SO primitive - like Einstein himself had shot them. *S*
-
Ha! *L* Needless to say, you got it Mongo! Carry on! (I have to get to bed to work a 12-hour shift tonight!) It's been real!

Okay, I'll borrow a clue I almost used for Niagara the other day... Next hint: birthday girl
