  1. Depends on what day of the week and what kind of mood I am in...here's my list today! A film that has great personal meaning to you: *To Kill a Mockingbird* A film that you think deserves a wider audience (either because it's obscure or not commercially available) : *Scent of Green Papaya* A film that is pure escapist entertainment, you just love it no matter how many times you've seen it: *The Mummy* (with Brendon Frasier) A film that features your favorite artist in a standout role: *Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington* (I suggest all politicians watch it...once a month) A film that represents your favorite director's best work: Alfred Hitchcock's *The Birds*
  2. I have to add my input for an actor that was robbed of an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2000. Joaquin Phoenix as Commodus in "The Gladiator". He played the epitome of a sick, perverted ruler equal to the performance given by Russell Crowe (who won best actor) award for that movie.
  3. I hope someday TCM begins steaming their fabulous classic movies like Netflix does via Roku and similar products. I would get rid of my cable company (except for internet service) in the blink of an eye. TCM is just about the only movie channel I watch religously. Does anyone have knowledge of this ever happening?
