  1. that might be from the Animated version In late 2004 the ULLAdubULLA II production had been commissioned for an animated CGI film version set for a 2007 release, although as of 2010, the film is still in its production stages. Test footage of some of the Martian machines has been released to War of the Worlds online. There was a War of the Worlds special on the History channel or SciFi channel one time and they showed a small clip from the production. But the walkers look a little different so it may not be. 2. need a little more info. Don't know why but it made me think of Mission Mars (1968) with the Polarites materializing out of the sand and the silver glowing metal sphere. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063311/
  3. Might be The War of the Planets (1966) part of the Gamma series of films. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059101/
  4. Might be "Wild in the Streets" [Wild in the Streets (1968) |http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063808/] This is the story of Max Frost, 24 years old...President of the United States...who created the world in his own image. To him, 30 is over the hill. 52% of the nation is under 25...and they've got the power. That's how he became President
  5. There was a movie I saw along time ago. I believe it was kind of tongue-in-cheek, the hero was like a jetsetter/ladysman type who had some kind of psionic powers and could change in a costumed superhero. His weakness was if he had sex, he would lose his powers for 24 or 48 hours. I think it was a french movie that had been dubbed. I'm not sure I think he was called something like psi man or psionic man. (Now theres is a psychotronic man movie thats not it)
  6. > {quote:title=Geoffe wrote:}{quote} > I think at the end of the film when they are blasting the invisible monster that may be what the Krell looked like. You can see an outline of the monster and it appears to be triangular in shape. I don't think so. The ID monster was created from Morbius's subconscious and he didn't know what a Krell looked like. So his subconscious mind wouldn't have had that image to project. I'll have to go with this discription of the krell. In the article the Forbidden Planet's film's cinematographer, George Folsey states: "The Krell were originally
  7. The movie was Invisible Invaders (1959) John Agar played Maj. Bruce Jay. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052929/
  8. Ned "Scotty" Scott: Here's the sixty-four dollar question - what do you do with a vegetable? Nikki: Boil it. Ned "Scotty" Scott: What did you say? Nikki: Boil it... stew it...bake it... fry it? These lines were said by Scotty and Nikki, but they were not scientists. Ned "Scotty" Scott played by Douglas Spencer was a reporter. Nikki Nicholson was played by Margaret Sheridan she was Dr. Carrington's secretary and Captain Patrick Hendry's love interest. Now there were some female scientists there, but they didn't play a major role in the story.
  9. I just saw Clash of the Titans yesterday it was pretty good, I'll get the DVD when its out. I know everyone will compare it to the 1981 Clash of the Titans. But I tried to judge it on it's own merits. I agree Sam Worthington was a little more like a modern day marine. I would have liked a little more, long hair spartan look at least. Plus him walking around with his head hung down most of the time at the start just looked wrong. I'd don't really know what kind of emotion he was trying to convey, but he wasn't doing it. And YES the giant scorpions are very cool! if they remake the
  10. I think we need more info to narrow it down. Theres lots of movies with those similar scenes. Like the research facility one, first thing that comes to mind is The Outer Limits episode called "Production and Decay of Strange Particles" about "a accident in a nuclear research facility which opens a dimensional doorway. The invading creatures attempt to create an explosion which will widen the doorway"
  11. Another question is... When the Commander, Alta and Morbius are chased into the Krell lab. After they shut the door, the Commander spins the combination lock dial. He tells Morbius its because the ID monster knows what Morbius knows meaning it knows the combination. How does spinning the dial around do anything to keep it out? If its like a earth combination lock, just spinning the dial around doesn't change the combination. If it did change it, How did they get out? They wouldn't have known the new combination. Also about how they got out, the ID monster had got the door white hot
  12. Forbidden Planet is a good movie, but here's some questions to think about. First let's start with the Krell, what they looked like and that triangular shaped arch. This is always mentioned and everyone wonders what kind of creature needed that triangular shaped arch. Pictures form of some bulky thing comes to everyone's mind. But something never mentioned is that at the main entrance to the Krell lab. There is a pair of very human like stair steps, one is obviously a "Up" nearest the door control and the other a "Down". A pair of bulky Krell would have a hard time passing e
  13. i have a vhs recording of it. I don't watch often so I wont wear out the tape.
  14. Some little shown movies I'd like to see again. Some not the greatest but.... Cyborg 2087 (1966) Michael Rennie as a cyborg from the future, low budget but tells a good story. The Terrornauts (1967) Scientists are kidnapped by a spaceship to man a deserted alien battlestation to defend earth and the galaxy. Dimension 5 (1966) Jeffrey Hunter as secret agent with a time-travel belt. Agent for H.A.R.M. (1966) What can I say secret agents with "spore guns"! Fiend Without a Face (1958) Canadians, nuclear energy, telekinesis and invisible brain creatures. Edited by: sc
