In the opening scences of Godfather 2 where Roths man meets Michael, while the Wedding festivaties are going on outside, concerning the the take over of a Hotel - Casino where Meyer Klingman runs the show, the encounter is actually about the mured of Gus Greenbaum, of the Chicago Outfit and the manager of The Riveria, who the Chicago group wanted out because of this dope addict & possible taking for the mobs cut.

  9. Maybe I'm just an old biddy but I certainly prefer Lana to todays so called female stars. But Lana is not one of my all time favorites.
  10. One film that I have the " expert " says that Ann Sheridan prayed " brassy blondes ". MsSheridan was a redhead.
  11. The commentator for the Cagney film G - Men called Magaret Lindsey, " Margaret Livingstone ", twice and the actor Davis Brian was called Brian David. Mr Brian did an introduction for a G - Men re - realease in the 1940s.

  13. Douglass Walton was in both Bad Lands & The Lost Patrol. In Lost he was the young soldier killed shortly after having a very moving talk with McLaglan. He was also " Marriott " in Murder, My Sweet.
  14. If my memory is correct Taylor was a witness who loved to name movie folk who he thought was a red, especially Howard DaSilva. Taylor was never a HUAC target, after all Taylor and his wife were in 1940 members of the Hollywood Republican Committee organized by MGM executive Robert Rubin. MGM was the most GOP friendly of the Hollywood studios and Robert Montgomery, later a speech & TV coach for President Eisenhower, and George Murphy, later a Republican U.S. from California were MGM contract players and very active in pro HUAC activities.

  18. Was shown on the Encore Western Channel tonight, not much to it but Maureen O' hara was very easy on the eyes in a plethora of saloon gal outfits.

  20. Tonight was the first time that I had seen Secret Beyond the Door in many years and found it very good, but to me the stand out was Joan Bennett, who not only gave a fabulous performs but, IMHO was never more lovely.
