Thanks... During the first season of this great, long-running western series from the sixties (9 seasons), with a very nice musical theme, a big box-office actress of the thirties and forties guest-starred as a bank teller who insists that one of the series regulars was responsible for committing a robbery and shooting another teller....Name the series, the actress, and the episode..

Not Kevin Bacon and not "The Woodsman"....The star in this movie was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar more than 40 years before "The Woodsman". The same year this film was made, he starred with John Wayne in a western. He starred in a great comedy film with multiple foreign actors fours later at the peak of his career, then his star gradually dimmed....

What do you mean probably? That was his best movie... Now, this western musical from 1955, based on a Greek play, featured a female balladeer who sang this song. The rest of the cast, including the leads were non-singers and were dubbed: "How lonely can I get without your loving arms? How lonely can I get when you're away? As lonely as a poor forsaken whippoorwill That sings his little heart out on a distant hill..." I don't expect anyone to know the next line, but name the singer, the song, and the title of the movie...It's all in IMDB.
