  2. Thank you....This song "lament" was sung by a popular male singer at the start of a movie with a foreign setting:

     

    "Come to my tent, oh my beloved!

    Bring me your lips warm as the sun;

    Hear my lament, oh my beloved,

    Come to my arms, oh wonderful one.

    Enter my heart and stay there forever,

    Lost in the spell of stars up above..."

     

    The song title contains the song of the hero and the movie....Song, Singer, Movie?...By the way, the singer of the theme song was not in the cast or movie at all...

  3. Correct, Lana. Based on the best-selling book by Richard Bradford, the son of Roark Bradford who wrote the play on which "Green Pastures" was based, this is a very nice movie which I wish they'd release on DVD...Your thread....and welcome back ...
