Thanks so very much for that helpful info. I will look for the original box set and also I am trying to find a dvd with sub title for a study in terror featuring john neville as sherlock. What I may have to do with this one is purchase a dvd player that will play all areas and both formats. I notice there are a few vhs available on ebay but I would like to find a dvd of the a study in terror. Thanks again so much for your reply. fred poe

Hello, my name is fred from Tampa,Fla. I noticed a few months ago when TCM aired some sherlock holmes movies that most of them had captioning. All these of course were very old movies. I have found many of the movies on the internet that I can download into real player but no captioning for any movie. My question is how did TCM get captioning for the old Sherlock movies and yet I cant find any of his with captioning? I am very near completely deaf so I really need the captioning. Thanks

Hi, first let me say what a great job you are doing bringing us the best classical movies. I am a sherlock holmes fan and am requesting that you repeat the sherlock holmes presentation that you did several months ago. I enjoyed all those sherlock holmes movies and my favorite two are a study in terror and the hound of the baskervilles. My favorite by far concerning the actors are Basil Rathbone and Bruce as Dr. Watson. Hope so much to see that sherlock holmes mini marathon repeated very soon. I can now record them with my brighthouse cable dvr. Thanks for being here for us. Sincerely Fred Poe

I placed a want it now on ebay and also put it on a public wish list at amazon. I have a feeling that if someone does have this first set and are willing to sell it, the price is going to be a study in terror. lol
