A long lost Laurel and Hardy film.(With Lawrence Tibet)
Do you think this will ever be found?
The only print thats known to exist was found in Yugoslavia,but its in poor condition,The Laurel and Hardy segments are cut as well as the songs.
How this ever got lost I cant figure out.

Folsom Prison warden,Ben Rickey(Ted De Corsia)is a sadistic brute who takes pleasure in causing the convicts misery.After a revolt,led by convict,Jeff Riordan(Paul Picerni)is brutally put down and many convicts and guards are stupidly killed,a reporter,Jim Frazier(Scott Forbes)looks into things and is shocked by the poor conditions.
A new head guard,Mark Benson(David Brian)is called in.Rickey dislikes Mark,but lets him remain.
Head convict,Chuck Daniels(Steve Cochran)a lifer,is planning an escape,but goes along with Mark.
Soon a well liked convict,Red Pardue(Philip Carey)is killed and trouble starts.Rickey is in charge again.Having no choice,Daniels goes through with his plan for a mass escape.
Great Film.
Johnny Cash saw this film and wrote Folsom Prison Blues.

Ann Sutton(Gene Tierney)is the wife of weell to do doctorWilliam Sutton(Richard Conte)Ann has a childhood habit she never got over for stealing.Ann is caught by store detectives,but David Korvo(Jose Ferrer)comes to her rescue and shes let go.
Korvo a shifty swindler has other plans for Ann.In a trance,Ann shows up at the home of a murdered woman and is arrested by police.
William Sutton doesnt believe his wife is guilty.Neither does police LT,James Colton(Charles Bickford)They both suspect Korvo who is in the hospital after a major operation.They find Korvo was recovering on the night of the murder.
Sutton still beleves his wife is innocent and Korvo is the killer.Colton has little use for Korvo,but he cant believe he commited the murder while in the hospital.
Great Film.
Jose Ferrer steals the show as evil,sinister,not to be trusted,David Korvo.
