  1. Hi, I haven't posted before, but I need help from anyone out there that knows about resources for film education (techniques, appreciation, lectures by filmakers on DVD, etc.) I am affiliated with a growing arts center that includes art education. They are undergoing expansion and I am going to do my best to convince them to include film arts as part of their presentations and curriculum. What I need is a resource for lectures by filmmakers and film experts (like our beloved Robert Osborne) who can explain about the making of the movies in some detail before the actual film is shown. I remember that before Hitchcock died, he did some lectures that were filmed about the way he made his movies (his use of detail, the way he pictured his scenes, use of montages, etc.) If I could get that particular series, it would be a godsend, but I'm not hoping for miracles. Any help that you can offer me would really be appreciated since I have to sell the package as not only entertaining, but educational, also. Thanks for any help.
