Actually "Mayor of Hell" was remade into 2 Dead End Kids movies. The first remake is loosely based on on MOF. That being "Crime School" were Bogart is the new commissioner and basically does the same thing Cagney does and reforms the reform school. But the second remake is almost entirely "MOF" That being "Hell's Kitchen" ,The DE Kids and Ronald Regan. Which not only is 90% of the same plot and story, but most of the dialogue is exactly the same. In my opinion, the latter being the better of all 3 movies. In fact , next to "Angels with Dirty Faces" is my favorite Dead End Kids' movie. Great St
