I am looking for the title of a movie made between 1940-1955, in which a husband was convicted of strangling his wife with one of his necties. The only person who could prove his innocence was a woman he met in a bar, wearing a funny/odd hat, who later had a nervous breakdown that his secretary desperately tried to find. Long story short.......it was his friend who killed his wife, who he was having an affair with.
