  1. The actual objective, accurate reporting is that the solar and wind powered power generators are doing better than expected. In addition, they only supply 10% (TEN PER CENT) of the power in Texas. The failure is the inability of the coal, natural gas and nuclear power generators to do what they should. They are failing far worse than the solar and wind powered. Couple this to the board that is supposed to manage the power grid that has complete failure and has in the past. This board is a relic of the Texas ultra conservative, Radical Right Wing, Extremist Republican governments t
  2. Don't be so sure that Trump is going to bring down the GOP in 2022 elections. At this point in time, Trump may yet be the most powerful person in the GOP in that he can influence elections at the county, state and federal levels more than McConnell. That may change, but it has not yet. The Dems are not filing lawsuits against Trump; the American people are.
  3. Agree with first half, but disagree with second. Pres. Biden is correct that we need to move on and that he should no longer discuss going after Trump. But, both civil and criminal cases at all levels against Trump and his allies should be carried out - where they are warranted.
  4. Then why did you post it? Just curious.
  5. The thread is about the Western Noir movies being shown on Feb. 19th. If you wanted to comment re: Western Noir in general, that is fine but an explanation of that fact should be included. However, just listing movie titles gives the impression that they also will be shown on Feb. 19. Lighten up yourself.
  6. So, who's is it? Was it presented to Donald Trump or to the People of the United States? Who made it and who gave it to Trump?
  7. Supposed to get second shot this morning (Tuesday), but hospital called yesterday and rescheduled me for Friday. The shipment they were supposed to receive for Tuesday was cancelled. Keeping my fingers crossed that Friday actually works out. The Republican state legislature in S.C. is trying to force teachers & school employees to the front of the list for recipients. Reason is so schools can be fully reopened in March. Governor is resisting so far. Right now it is medical, first responders and those over 65.
  8. These are not being shown on Feb. 19th per the TCM schedule.
  9. Transmission acknowledged.
  10. Western Noir on Feb. 19th. Station West (1948) Blood on the Moon (1948) Roughshod (1949) Colorado Territory (1949) Along the Great Divide (1951) Riding Shotgun (1954) Black Patch (1957) The Badlanders (1958)
  11. Everyone is biased. Just pointed it out in this particular, rather lengthy, article. He did little to nothing to explain why majority rule is not always a good thing. They did not favor minority rule, but rather checks and balances. At the base of it, the majority would elect the state legislatures who initially would elect the US senators and Electoral College electors. Later changed to where the majority would also elect the US senators. While the EC has deficiencies, the majority of voters in each state elect the electors. So we have the majority electing governors, legislature
  12. You posted the same article twice, just changed the intro.
  13. Interesting, but obviously biased.
  14. Two actors I really like and much more so when paired together. I have seen The Fortune Cookie, but not one of my favorites. Ironically I do not really like The Odd Couple, but The Odd Couple Two is among my top ten favorite movies. Add in Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men for more favorites.
  15. Ha, ha. Another McConnell lie. As for electable, Marjorie Taylor Greene got elected, so she is electable. Trump was considered unelectable until he won.
  16. Started to watch it, but his intro (at 1:00 PM) did not mention voter suppression, but a long list of other topics and people. So I did something else.
  17. I find it dispiriting that the "liberals" on this site who are against any discrimination toward LGBTQ are quick to attack Lindsey Graham with ZERO evidence that he is or ever has been gay.. As for his votes in the Senate, he represents the people of S.C. and will vote accordingly. That's his job. I personally don't agree with it, but that is how the system was set up. Incidentally I do not vote for Graham in the general elections and only in the primaries because ALL his opponents are so very Radical Extremist Right-Wing GOPers. So, let's bring him down on this issue and let a much
  18. He was born in Georgia. Not sure what "looks like a Southerner" is supposed to mean.
  19. I read the article and it actually says very little about Lindsey Graham and nothing definitive. Muckraking. I cannot attest to Graham's sexual preferences, but as long as he has been in S.C. politics NOBODY has been able to place the homosexual label on him. My thinking is that if there was "dirt, " it would have been out there. And there are a lot of anti-Graham people in S.C., even lots in the Republican Party. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/06/10/ladygraham-went-viral-not-just-because-lindsey-grahams-politics/ Another reference stating that use of LadyG for L
  20. Don't know about maple trees, but do know there are fertilizers especially for pecan trees. So I would imagine maple "farmers" would also fertilize their tree orchards. Not to mention various pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, etc.
  21. Suggest you change the title. I thought it was about Lady Gaga and almost ignored it. If it is about Lindsey Graham, then say so. Thanks.
  22. I would say this is fairly accurate and also applies to many GOPers at the state and local level.
  23. I don't trust anything McConnell says or his motivations for saying it. Perhaps he just wants the Dems and others to try to bring charges against Trump to gin up the GOPer base for the 2022 elections.
  24. Too little, too late. Where was she two years ago. Trump was the same person and a known quantity even then.
  25. I found a clip from CNN discussing her position with Richard Haass. The male commentator said her position is inexplicable and I agree with that. She is merely playing politics and trying to distance herself from the downside of supporting Trump and trying to find that sweet spot where she can claim support from "conservatives" and corporations (money) while not losing support from many who will vote in presidential primaries. If there is another article, I can't find it.
