  1. I kinda came in on the middle of it. But these two guys apparently gave Henried a photo of the scar and were talking about how they made the negative backwards. That's how come the scar was on the wrong side of his face.
  2. I'm a fan too. Friday nights there used to be some sort of wholesome family time movies shown when I was a kid. Lili was one of them. I noticed this morning that it's not a very long movie.
  3. I rushed home from my Mama's doctor appointment to see this film, which I remember watching as a kid. Liberace was a staple in our household for many years when vararity shows were the norm. Liberace was no Oliveir, but the movie was fun none the less.
  4. The Tingler is one of the few (and maybe the only) Castle film that still creeps me out! The rest I enjoy for camp value. Granted, its cheaply done (hey, its William Castle!) But that thing is so yucky looking......And the story is so disturbing too (at least it disturbs me!) Creeps me out too. The tingler itself and that projectionist and wife. Yikes! Just like that housekeeper in House on Haunted Hill when she comes floating into the wine cellar. Ahhhhh!!!!!
  5. I love him in Champagne for Caesar. I purchased a VHS tape of that film years ago. It was very poor quality, but I still enjoyed it. Very funny film.
  6. {font:Verdana}Two on a Guillotine {font}
  7. I think all three could play comedy equally.
  8. Coney Island Lunch in Worcester, Mass is still around today. http://www.coneyislandlunch.com/
  9. Awesome food out here in New England. Would like to here from all about their most fave food experiences. In Dark Passage, Bogie orders a regular type breakfast in a diner. Comfort food. And, boy, does he need it at the time. Anybody wish to contribute a similar eating experience?
  10. Wow! Thanks for posting the photo! I just happened to catch this scene before tuning of the TV. Wicked. Looked like a couple of 12 year olds did the SMP, though. Heh, heh...
  11. Forty minutes into this crummy film and I still haven't seen the beast. I've got to be toddling off to work. Somebody let me know if there is a beast.
  12. Well, I was a bit taken aback when an elderly cashier asked me if I was a senior citizen and said I looked young. I'm not a senior citizen and if I look young, why ask in the first place?
  13. In fact this lineup is so great that even the Mickey Rooney movie is worth watching. Those are 16 words I can barely believe I've just written. Totally agree. He was pretty good in this flick.
  14. I'd like to have a copy of this film for those days when I think my life really sucks.
  15. I'd like to be a villager chasing after the monster in any one of the Frankenstein movies.
  16. Since the cable goes out here on a regular basis, I often watch Dark Shadows or Roger Corman films. Depends what mood I'm in.
  17. From an earlier post of mine: Anybody know who are host is tonight? I seriously hope my English grammar teacher is not a member of these boards. Yikes.
  18. Growing up in the 60's, I never thought of Fred MacMurray as an acomplice to murder.
  19. Reading Lewis Yablonski's bio of Raft. Mr. Raft was a very interesting man. A good man, despite the rumors of him being associated with gangsters. Although he was! He cut out of school at the age of 12 and immediately went to work, sometimes driving bootleg. I was bowled over when I read that he and Betty Grable were an item. Then again, Mr. Raft was an item with several women. I love his movies. I do.
  20. NoraCharles wrote: So here's my great question regarding Larry Ballentine in They Won't Believe Me - do *you *believe one word of his story? Hell, no. What a loser this guy is. Anybody know who are host is tonight?
  21. Got home from work in time to watch "Guns, Girls & Gansters". Maime seems like a sweet girl, but I want all the men on this thread to answer this one question: Do you prefer a volupuhous woman of the fifties or a stick figure actress of today?
  22. I went to check on my elderly mom because she knocked the phone off the hook.(AGAIN!) Brought her a BLT grinder and told her the news about EW. She didn't know Ms Williams had passed and EW was one of her favorite movie stars. She's told me numerous times over the years how she used to go to the movies to see her. So I turned on TCM for her and let her rip!
