[Searching for a Movie]

About two months ago, I saw a black & white movie on TCM about some people who were on a ship. It was set in WWII-era and it was always dark or foggy outside so they couldn't see where they were going. It was really good and had an interesting twist. They were actually heading to eternity. Most were going to heaven, but some were going to hell. They didn't really know that (neither did I) until the end. I'd like to know the name of the movie so I can rent or purchase it - it was really good. Thanks for any help y'all can provide.
