  3. *Lon Chaney, Jr. Hollywood Walk of Fame ?Star Fund?* [] The Lon Chaney, Jr. ?Star Fund? was established to help the Chaney estate raise funds and awareness to procure a star on the ?Hollywood Walk of Fame.? Each year, an average of 200 nominations are submitted to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame selection committee. The committee awards a star to approximately 20 celebrities, but only one celebrity is chosen for the posthumous star. This is a difficult decision since there are so many deserving individuals. [] The Lon Chaney, Jr. ?Star Fund? is open to all who wish to be a part of this effort. No amount is too small and is much appreciated. These donations are secured in a special account and will be utilized only towards the procurement of a star. The account balance is updated and posted regularly and all contributors are recognized on the [www.lonchaney.com|http://lonchaney.com/lcj-star-fund/] web site. []We truly appreciate all those who have contributed and know we will someday celebrate the joining of Lon Chaney, Jr. with his father, Bela, Boris, Vincent and all the others on Hollywood?s Walk of Fame. Please join in the effort to unite Lon Chaney Jr. with his friends and family on the walk of fame he's immensely deserving of the place for his performances and anyone whose watched him perform I'm sure agrees. Nobody will ever forget him for his role as Lennie in "Of Mice and Men", or for his portrayal of the tortured Larry Talbot in "The Wolf Man" and many other roles. He's made an impact every role and on all he worked with. He has witnessed first hand; the evolution of show business from their vaudevillian days, watching his father become a box office star, from silence to sound, from black & white to colored television. He has left an indelible mark on Hollywood history. Please sign the petition Thank you to all who contribute Hopefully soon we will be able to celebrate the uniting of Lon Chaney Jr. with his father, Bela, Boris, Vincent and all others on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
