  1. I think I found my own answer, using a suggestion I saw on another thread. I just started looking at IMDB listings by year, and I found "The Devil to Pay" in year 1930. I'm sure that's the one. I hope you all get to see it on TCM someday.
  2. I have a question that I have had since my college days 25 years ago. There was a TV channel that showed old movies that began at noon. I would always go to the TV room in our Memorial Union at noon to see what was on. One time a movie had already started so I didn't catch its title, but I stayed and watched the whole movie and I absolutely loved it. The only problem is I haven't seen the movie again in 25 years, and I never learned its title. So here is all I can tell you about the movie: The movie begins with a young man walking in front of a pet store, seeing a dog and in the window which he begins to talk to. I think he takes the dog home. As the movie develops we learn that this young man is the son of a wealthy family, and he is somewhat of a wanderlust. But he is home and he runs into a young lady he knew years before. They begin spending time together and find out they are both young adventurous types, and they begin to develop a relationship, even though I think she was previously involved with another man. Another thing I remember is that our star talks about running off to Australia to operate a sheep ranch. Anyway, I loved the story and the hero and heroine, but I have never been able to find out the stars or the name of the movie. I am guessing it is a 1930s vintage movie, but it could be early 1940s. I sure hope someone sees this posting who knows what movie I am talking about. I would love to solve this 25 year old mystery.
