Yep, that was it. Did a search for images from the movie and a chill ran through my spine when I saw that face again. I too had nightmares after watching it but I still sat through it each time it came on. Creature Feature on Ch 12 in West Palm Beach, FL every Sat night after the news.

I'm trying to remember an old (color) horror movie I saw back in the late 1970s. The movie consisted of three smaller stories. I can't remember the plot of the third or second. The first story dealt with a woman who is called on to help prepare another woman for burial. When the woman shows up the deceased woman has this horrific look on her face and her eyes are wide open. Each time the woman attempts to close the deceased eyes she turns back to the eyes wide open. The woman steals a ring from the dead woman and goes home. She pulls back the curtain to her bed to find the dead woman and her ghastly stare. Later, the woman is found dead by the authorities who remark on the look on her face and how she must have died of fright.
