  1. I have to say that television was at its best in the 1970's. This was the first full decade where I was old enough to watch television from 1970 to 1979 when the television shows were shown during their original broadcast. I turned 11 years old in 1970 and watched television constantly back then. I saw many changes in TV during that decade from watching so many great television shows and all the great made for TV movies. The1970's will always be a very special time for me.
  2. I would have to say " MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS ". I love the story, the songs, the scenery, the turn of the century clothing, and best of all " JUDY GARLAND ".

  4. I remember seeing Betty Grable in a movie where she is performing on stage in a musical sequence dancing and ice skating with someone in a Polar Bear Costume in a winter setting. I think the movie was " When My Baby Smiles At Me " co - starring Dan Daily. Does anyone remember seeing this? Sincerely, Jay
  5. I am so happy to see " RICH YOUNG AND PRETTY " as the topic here. I love this very under - rated musical that rarely ever gets, shown, written about, or talked about by movie critics and fans of the old musicals. Jane Powell was so perfectly cast in this highly entertaining movie that co - starred Vic Damone. I think this was his very first movie. I loved all the songs from this and I have it on VHS from when I taped it off of Turner Classic Movies. Highly Recommended. Sincerely, Jay
  6. MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS I loved everything about this wonderful movie starring JUDY GARLAND. The songs, the story, the scenery, the costumes, the casting. This was Metro Goldwyn Mayer during " The Golden Age Of Hollywood". I can watch this wonderful movie over and over again and never get tired of it. This is among my top 5 favorite movies of all time. " A Movie Musical Masterpiece ".
  7. I am so happy to see this discussion board on HAYLEY MILLS. I am a huge fan of hers and grew up watching all her movies. Does anyone remember seeing a Walt Disney TV Special in the 70's or 80's where there was a segment of the show hosted by Annette Funicello who pays tribute to Hayley and introduces film clips of the original movie trailers to all of her 6 Disney Movies. Annette says " Audiences Watched Hayley Mills Grow Up " The TV Special may have been titled THE BEST OF DISNEY 50 YEARS OF MAGIC. It originally aired May 20th 1991. Thank you for any help any of you can give me. Sincerely Jay
