  1. Oddly enough, my other thought was that they might somehow beam Olivia in from Paris to interview her at the festival as an addition to the live interview, but this was before I just read your post about what happened with their attempts to interview her in Paris. I also of course wish her well.
  2. My thinking, too, SueSue, altho my assumption was that it would be someone already announced as attending the festival, which would mean someone like Maureen O'Hara or Jerry Lewis. But you know what they say about people who assume. ;-) TCM could have a total surprise up its sleeve.
  3. Any idea who will be interviewed on Sunday at Live from the TCM Film Festival? Thanks! Wolfie
  4. There truly are people of all ages at the film festival. I went to the 2011 and 2012 festivals and was impressed with the wide range of ages. As someone who hasn't seen 23 in, uh, quite some time, I was very pleased to see younger people there who had an interest in classic films. I went on my own both times and had no problem talking with people of all sorts of ages. My family and friends will be the first to tell you that standing in line is not one of my strong suits, and yet the time just flew by because I was talking to those around me, whether they were with other people or by the
  5. Didn't Maureen move to Idaho (or something like that) within the last couple of years? That would make it much easier to get to LA than going from Ireland.
  6. That actually was my first thought when I read the news about Lewis but then assumed otherwise when the "Live" wasn't mentioned. (Then again, you know what they say about people who assume.) We're talking an embarrassment of riches. I somehow can't imagine someone like Maureen O'Hara making the trek "only" to present the one movie. Maybe since she already has her footprints at Grauman's, she gets the "Live" treatment and Jerry gets the footprints? ;-)
  7. Lewis' press release mentioned hand/footprints at Grauman's plus being interviewed in connection with Nutty Professor. I don't believe the "Live at TCM Film Festival" has been mentioned yet. Wolfie
  8. Totally agree, Sue Sue. And when you think about it, considering that we're two months out yet, they actually haven't announced all that many films and guests. Imagine what is yet to come!!! Wolfie
  9. Thank you, Sue Sue!! WOW. I personally would love for Maureen O'Hara to be interviewed for the Live from the TCM Film Festival. Wonder if they haven't yet decided or someone not even announced is still in the works. Thanks again for the scoop. Wolfie
  10. As someone in the polar vortex (aka Chicago), I feel Atlanta's pain. It's no picnic, that's for sure. Great list, Sue Sue. I also assumed part of the issue was getting everything lined up, but Enquiring Minds want to know! Wolfie
  11. Sue Sue, any rumblings on when we might get more info on the movies/guests? Doesn't it seem like far less information has come out for this year's festival compared to the same time with respect to previous years' fests? Thx, Wolfie
  12. Thanks, Gablefan. Sounds like they're having technical issues. I've been on hold for over 15 minutes. Wolfie
  13. I've now tried two credit cards, and I keep getting an error message saying that there is a problem with the cards. I know the cards are OK because I use them all the time. Is anyone else getting this message? Thanks, Wolfie
  14. During the Q&A after The Longest Day, they joked about how they looked like they could be brothers. Indeed! Great pix. Wolfie
