Alice In Wonderland (1933) Friday Night

> ADW: > it's like the filmakers on the second venture learned from Paramount's mistakes. That, and the fact that it had a better director. -
Oh, that face, that fabulous face II - Post 1950's. Whose is it?

Not her, or Binnie Barnes. Once she got to Hollywood, she was a repeated performer for John Ford in some of his best known and respected films. -
Yes, indeed, Delon's looks made many a heart in Europe go pit-a-pat, and when you add to that considerable acting ability, it's no wonder he was a major star for so long. He tended to the action/adventure genre, playing cool, detached operators. But some of his pictures, especially those done with Visconti, show us what we might have had, though his thrillers with Melville were excellent.

Well, you got her right, now, Dargo2! Now, that's all. -
Some movies can be overlooked, but make sure to see Purple Noon, one of his early hits. A recent version, The Talented Mr. Ripley, doesn't compare. And there is Rocco and His Brothers, Visconti can always be counted on. I am also interested in Have I the Right to Kill?, and Once a Theif. Of course, it would be nice to see Le Samourai, too.

Not a bad guess. Grahame and the actress in question followed similar career paths. -
>no1filmcritic: >and only WONDERED why Host Robert Osborn, NEVER EVEN ONCE, mentioned the 1985 remake, "Against All Odds," Perhaps because it isn't any good. . . .

>AddisonDeWitless: >THIS is the Alice I like, the one who is getting increasingly **** off Peed off--oh my. Please keep in mind, ADW, Alice is a nice, proper, middle-class English girl. She may be irritated, annoyed, piqued, impatient, brusque, or even testy, but she will never be peed off. Dinah would not approve. -
Bigfoot movie from late 70s or early 80s
slaytonf replied to rowcrop's topic in Information, Please!
You can do a search on the internet with the terms "bigfoot tv movie" and you will get a variety of results that may lead you to what you are looking for. Two titles that come up when I do that are an episode of Disney's Wonderful World of Color TV series, and a movie called Harry and the Hendersons, which was a theatrical release that led to a TV series. -

Nope. Not him. This is a rare look for this man. He is usually immaculately dressed, and maintains an urbane and sophisticated air. -
I almost know the music playing behind the spring fling advert for the romantic movies collections, but it is just beyond my grasp Arrrgh! What is it?

In defense of The producers ,1968's humor
slaytonf replied to 28Silent's topic in Films and Filmmakers
I didn't see Mr. {font:arial, helvetica, sans-serif}Mankiewicz's intro, but if he did mention that the humor was insensitive, I agree he was mistaken, except if you are a Nazi, or an admirer of Hitler. The fact that Mel Brooks is Jewish should not play a role in the success of the film, and our acceptance of his comedy, but perhaps it does. Admittedly, it is uncomfortable watching it at times (especially during the opening number of the show), but ultimately it is so over-the-top and outrageous that it ends up being hilarious.{font}{font:arial, helvetica, sans-serif}{font} -

Miles, you have her! Interesting to note that an actress whose career has spanned decades, and has included work with her leading contemporaries, because her work has centered on European films, is known to us from her apperance as a Bond girl at its start. How's this guy known to us?: -
