I gotta find tougher pics. Yes, it's her.

Almost forgot. Yes, that's her (as if you needed me to confirm it).

Walk this way, No, no, walk this way!
Ok, enough seriousness, time for joking around:

Don't tell me you need more than this!:

This isn't Ruth Hussey. Isn't it? No, definitely not. Is it? No, I, um. . .:

Your welcome!

Oh my God! I made them up!

>But I don't think we need the proto-Lifetime TV movies of the 1980s on TCM.
Oh, gosh! That's exactly what I was suggesting! Let's have Love Comes Silently Stealing, and Love's Eternal Promise.

You might be thinking of a TV movie called The Birdmen, starring Doug McClure, Richard Basehart, and Rene Auberjonois:
-
Is it Hilary Swank? Inquiring minds want to know.

As I've said before, I have yet to see even one Certified Slippery Slope. Not only do I not think TCM will initiate a TV movie series based on my suggestion, neither do I think doing so would cause it to metamorphize into some schlock channel specializing in the repeats of such shows as Jake and the Fat Man.

Fie on you! She was such a sweet old lady. Oh, will these gratuitous assaults on decency never cease?

More like an evil necessity.

If it's good enough for once in a while, it's good enough for once in a week.
-
Maybe that's why not.

That's what I meant, musical. I don't think there is any great danger of TCM being flooded with them, just as there isn't any great danger of it being flooded with post-2000 movies. Personally, I'm OK with TCM showing films from any time or place, so long as it provides the opportunity for seeing good movies. They are too few and far between to be artificially limiting your scope.
And it can be late Wednesday night, so people won't run the risk of embarrassment being discovered enjoying a TV movie.
To kick off the series: Love Among the Ruins.

Well, in The Lady Killers, the old lady did get to keep the loot.

I have trouble from time to time with pages loading. If fimd that sometimes if I stop and restart it can help.

That's where I got the list below:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0114386/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1
And, by the way, her role as Catriona in I Know Where I'm Going! is my favorite of her roles. She has a fantastic entrance, silhouetted against the sky with her dogs. It's one of the best in film.

Congrats, Kid_Dabb, you got her!
Oh, by the way:
Pamela Brown filmography:
One of Our Aircraft is Missing
I Know Where I'm Going!
The Tales of Hoffman
Richard III
Lust for Life
The Scapegoat
Cleopatra
Becket
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Secret Ceremony
On a Clear Day You Can See Forever
'Nuff said
And three of them were Michael Powell films.

OK, since there is confusion about the intent of this thread, I'll rephrase my response to TikiSoo:
I meant to suggest that TCM have a series, like The Essentials, or Silent Sunday Nights, dedicated to TV movies. I did not have in mind serials. I am not necessarily against that, but, as I posted to TikiSoo I'd have to consider it.
Duel is a good example of how, with relatively limited resources, using good storytelling, agile directing, and tight editing, a smart, effective suspense movie could be made. In fact, I believe it has been shown on TCM, somehow connected with other of Mr. Spielberg's works. In fact, that's another reason for suggesting TV movies. They generally have small budgets, or smaller than theatrical movies, and must rely for their success on the inventiveness of the cast and crew.

Ok, a hint, she was British.

Oh, that face, that fabulous face. Whose is it?
