  1. At first I thought so, but then I realized it was Last of the Mohicans that TCM has shown different versions for. I don't think The Deerslayer has ever been shown.
  2. Man! You already got it? I think I'm gonna report you for speeding. Wait a little to see if anyone else can guess it. Oh, twinkeee, not her. Wasn't that Rita Hayworth?
  3. I was thinking of posting a thread titled: "Who is Lew Landers, and why is TCM showing a whole day of his films?" A true workhorse of the studio system. Some term him a B-movie director, but from the definitions on other threads, it seems most appropriate to say he made Programmers, the go-with movies in double features, as he worked with A-list stars. It was on the shoulders of directors like him that the giants of the industry stood. His most recognized film is, of course, The Raven. My favorite of his is Flight From Glory. He also did a version of The Deerslayer.
  4. I think twinkeee was asking about your pic of a semi-recumbant lady. The guess is Rita Hayworth.
  5. Ah, a hermaphrodite! But believe me, this was a woman, and despite some gritty roles, she could be quite the glamour babe.
  6. So you don't like it when krauts get killed?* Mine is Mrs. Miniver, or Story of G I Joe. *Sorry, just realized it was a different post I was referring to. Edited by: slaytonf on Jan 19, 2013 7:44 PM

  11. > twinkeee: > but then again, maybe she is good at......oh, never mind, we won't go there... Go ahead, say it, these days there's no reason to hold back. "[T]hen again, maybe she is good at. . . . .bridge." Here's a pic. Oh dang, I forgot who she is. . . .: /post.gif]
  12. Loaded for bear. Ever see a woman with guns like that before? Ah, the glories of classic cinema: /post.gif]
  13. Yowie! You sure those aren't color enhanced? Nobody with any stories? Anybody ever see Kenneth Mars or Venus Williams there? What prompted me was of course the airing of Dead Heat. . . . There are also some other great shots of LAX in it's 1960s glory.
