  1. Ah ha, I did misunderstand!! Thanks for the replies. On my upcoming visit to LA, I'll visit the Music Box steps and some Harold Lloyd locations instead. There's plenty to see if you search it out. My father is buried in Forest Lawn across the street from Clara Bow's cryprt. I usually take them both some flowers. Thanks again.
  2. Recently someone on TCM mentioned that there is one Casablanca location - a Paris exterior - that is actually extant in L.A. I didn't catch the name of the current business or address. Does anyone know where this is? All of the Internet information belies an LA exterior shot claiming the entire film was shot at Warner's except for the Van Nuys airport finale. So, the Amazing-Internet-Web machine failled me this time. At any rate, if anyone has the address, I'd like to see it. Thanks.
  3. Hats off to the producers of Moguls and Movie Stars for mentioning that not only was John Wayne a draft-dodger (as was Ronald Reagan), he rarely participated in the war effort during the Second World War. He was indeed *NOT* Sgt. Stryker in real life or anything like it. Where exactly was Wayne, when Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable, Robert Montgomery, Gene Autry, Jackie Coogan, Henry Fonda, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., and Leslie Howard were fighting the Axis? Tanking up at the Hollywood Athletic Club, no doubt. My amusement at "John Wayne - American Hero" velvet paintings, bumper stickers, license
