There was a movie I had seen several years back about a female alto singer who traveled to the camps during wartime sing to the injured soldiers. She was inured at one point and had to overcome her own injuries to continue visiting the soldiers. I'm pretty sure it was a dark haired female and that it was a black and white movie. I don't remember how she was injured but that it had something to do with her back or legs because she had trouble walking around after recovering. I have been trying to remember the title of the movie but can only come up with one or two scenes of singing while standing or sitting in the middle of a tent surrounded by injured soldiers in either there bunks or wheelchairs. Can anyone help?
