Who are your most favorite and least favorite actors/actresses?
lanceroten replied to speedracer5's topic in Your Favorites
Actors: Bogart, Grant, Stewart, Eastwood, McCrea Actresses: Audrey H., Grace K., Stanwyck, Lombard, Lana Turner I love movies too much to have "least" favorites. -
In the 1990 remake I know the female lead lives. I struggle to remember the rest of that one however. Possible that's the one you're thinking of.
-
I was a little surprised to find out this was the first showing on TCM of this classic. Caught it on Fox last year, loved it.
-
Pretty good flick. One of my favorite Randolph Scott Westerns.
-
Certainly one of the best. Also one of the first horror movies I saw also. I credit this and 1956's Invasion of the Body Snatchers for my lifelong love of Horror / Sci-Fi.
-
I like it. But, I'm a little biased towards McCrea. Who is one of my favorite leading men of that era. Also like Donleavy a good bit.
-
I'll add a vote for Saving Private Ryan
-
Interesting film...Odd ending(well the whole movie but lol...) keeps me from rating it too high though.
-
Easily one of my favorite Price movies and one of my favorites in general. Absolutely love The Abominable Dr Phibes.
-
I saw the colorized version of this and 1956's Invasion of the Body Snatchers on the same night. Both lose something colorized. It changes the dynamics of the atmosphere. Colorizing B&W films are an example I use for my "Not every new idea, is a good one, or even worthwhile" schtick.

I heard a quote once, forget the artist who said it so I can't give proper credit, but he said he likes songs from any genre of music that "makes the hair stand up on his arms". Not all songs, just certain ones. I can dig that. One look at my iTunes would confirm it Edited by: lanceroten on Oct 23, 2013 4:49 PM

To get off the Duke stuff for a bit... Anyone seen either *Top Gun* (w/ Sterling Hayden) or *Backlash* (Widmark/Donna Reed) ? I DVR'ed both off Encore Westerns for later viewing.
