[Hitchcock movie question]

What film does the following scene take place in?

 

Years ago I was flipping through the channels and I came across a black and white Hitchcock film with a very long continuous shot set in a dance ballroom. It started off with wide full-room view of all the dancers, people sitting at tables and way off in the background, the band playing. Gradually, seemlessly - in a way that didn't even register on me until nearly the very end - the camera moved closer and closer in toward the band. Finally with the drummer's face full-screen, and me thinking, "Who the heck is this guy?", the drummer exhibited a distinctive facial tic.

 

I was floored but unfortunately at that exact moment I got called off by something else in the house and didn't see what happened next.

 

I'd love to be able to see the entire film and especially that scene again, but have never been able to find out what the film's title is.

 

Does anyone know the movie I'm talking about?
