Like the reviewer, I saw the movie and remembered it; I am now reading a history of the U.S. Empire of Liberty and the effect the Haitian Revolution had on the U.S. Remembering the movie, and having like Kenneth Roberts' books in thepast I borrowed the book from the library but it is tedious--too politics and corrupt officials before the hero even gets to Haiti. I'm anxious to see the movie, but Netflix doesnt' have it
