The man and woman meet fall in love. They go back to the city, she finds she is pregnant. His wife who is ill comes back in the picture. The wife and the man adopt the baby. The birth mother joins the household and helps raise the child. It is not till when the child is older that the truth is revealed. Seen on TCM the summer of 2008
