[What movie is this?]

Yup. Pretty sure that is the movie- the machine gun in the boat being fired out the back is kind of how I remember it- however I thought the female star was in that scene also. I have the movie on order. I knew the male star was a heavy weight leading man and Clark Gable certainly fills that bill. Can't wait to see the DVD. Thanks for the suggestion, however after looking at the trailer I am pretty sure that is not the movie I am looking for. The boat in this movie was more like a PT size. The Sea Chase looks interesting however it was not available from Netflix. J

Hi Robert, when I was very young our family travelled to Boston and stayed in the Parker House. One evening while my father was at a buying show for my parents children's store my mother and I walked several blocks to see movie. Apparently this was a must see event. Guessing the year was around 1955 plus or minus 2-3 years. All I can remember about the movie was a man and a woman hiding in a speedboat(gunboat) while it was being chased around a harbor(they could see out the back). I think it was in color and that the boat may have been military as the weapons being fired were mounted. I was real young at the time so this information could be greatly distorted. Thinking it would have have had major stars. Any idea what movie this might be? Thank you. Always enjoy your commentary on TCM.
