Ella was great, no doubt about it. Especially in this film (as was Cook). The first one I saw her in was Tall in the Saddle w/ John Wayne. She played a spitfire. Loved her ever since.

I haven't seen it in at least 40 years. Now I have to find FMC - I don't watch much TV. Any idea why it isn't sold retail?

No apolgy necessary as I didn't find your post bad and didn't select you for "ignoring." > My philosophy is you can compliment/criticize TCM, its selections and non-selections, the movies, etc., but don't criticize/attack the other posters. Use same philosophy on other forums. > BTW, my sister is thinking of dropping her expanded coverage as she got it just to get TCM and has been very disappointed over the past year. > It is ironic that wife and I now watch Retro TV and this TV local affiliates more than we do TCM. TCM used to be our most watched channel. > Before I move on wanted to clarify one thing. While I won't watch them, I am not opposed to TCM showing many types of movies. What I object to is when they show 8-24 hours of the same actor or genre. Also when they show many movies almost every month or two months considering how many movies are in the TCM "vault." > I would love to see a marathon of Travel Talks, but I don't ask for it because a lot of people would not like it. I agree with you on this. Certainly there is more variety and better quality on TCM but with all the movies they have access to (wherever they're stored) they could cut out some of the more repetitious stuff. Don't know about King's Row but I might throw up the next time they play Twelve Angry Men.
  4. Any of you movie buffs know what ever happened to "The Blue Angel" from 1959? Much better than the 1930 version but impossible to find.
