Flesh and the Devil starring John Gilbert and Greta Garbo needs to be shown for all of us who love films with romance and substance. Garbo is stunning and controls the camera with her eyes the entire film. Under all the glitz and charm of the film, there is a really beautiful theme of friendship lasting through the trials of romantic division. The scene at the ball where Gilbert falls for Garbo is simply gorgeous. Wonderful camera work is also used to captivate the viewer. A wonderful story that satisfies anyone's need in a film. I hope others feel the same as I do about this film.
