  20. (20,808) Mid-1970s drama, Police Procedural. An episode about a detective maneuvering to take vengeance on the felon that had killed his partner. He contacts and sort of reactivates a "retired" snitch who has been out of the game for a while. This character (guest star) is also a cleaned-up drug addict who is understandably reluctant to get back into that life. He suffers consequences. This is a well-known and popular performer -- child actor grown up, a movie series and a TV series behind him. Who? What series?
