"Professor" catches a news blurb: The widower of the woman who died in the robbery is engaged, just a couple of weeks after the deaths. He's beginning to put together a theory that his friend was set up. There was always the question of how his friend got to the scene of the incident, 30 miles or so, when he never even had bus fare.

Two Oscar-winning performances in the first movie. One of those performers was in the sequel; the other was deceased by then. One key performer in both movies has won an Oscar since the sequel.

9 days idle = abandoned thread.
A serial killer who rapidly changes jurisdections. It slowly develops that the actions are moving into Vampire lore. Reporters who want a scoop are the most persistant ones on the case.

Mid 1960s. The series title uses the brand name of a consumer product. The episode title is a quote from Homer.

Theatrical releases. The earlier B&W, the later in Color.

Before the loss of his family, the street bum was a mathematics instructor. He still has the manners and vocabulary of an educated man, and is called "Professor" by those who are now his companions.

REBOOTING
A fictitious town in a movie. A sequel is made, and the town's name has been changed in hopes that prestige and better business will follow.
First film's title? Town's name? Town's new name for the sequel?

Little to go on here.

Thanks, stick. Next up is one that I saw and enjoyed shortly after I returned from living abroad for three years.
Anthology of 60 min dramas. Following the loss of his family in an accident, a man has gone badly on the skids, and has become a wino derelict. He learns that a friend and fellow panhandler has been shot and killed. Reports are that this happened while the friend was trying to rob a store. This does not sound right to the fallen man, and he starts his own investigation from the bottom of society's heap.
The episode star of this drama. Any additional info?

Still beyond me. Maybe somebody else can work with that.

Yo, FredC;
Similar experience yesterday with receiving a PM from lavenderblue19; still unable to get on the Boards, forums & threads, but could post a PM. Don't know if she can receive one.
A question: Is this a viable thought? I selected Comcast as my online supplier, and I deal with that Co. directly. Is it different, and does it work differently if your supplier is selected by the community or the condominium group where you reside? Could there be a different set of procedures (and perhaps problems) in such a situation? BTW, another poster mentioned (on one of the threads), having received a PM from lavender, with the same complaint.

Role Call: Those with roles in this TVM include:
"Feathers"
"Robert Cohen"
"Phillip Marlowe" (well, one of 'em. The two films he made in that persona were remakes.)

Aha! Jean Stapleton was on Broadway in *Damn Yankees* when Mr. Lear saw her, contacted her. She got the role of Edith "Dingbat" Bunker in *All In The Family.*

Stick, I'm pretty sure now that I have no knowledge whatsoever about this one. But I have one question that may be helpful to someone else: Is it one of the recent spate of Horror flicks with great SPFX that have not aroused my interest at all?
