A supporting actor had his debut in this film, and he had a future that involved a long-running series where he had a family and a place, and then another series where he had a small-town law enforcement department to run. (Not, as with the others, from the same studio.)

Were these films all funded or bankrolled from the same source?

Got it, Sixes, at just over 100 Views. This excellent film simply got overshadowed by the powerful remake, *Red Dragon.* But the original "Hannibal the Cannibal" and Francis Dollarhyde (Brian Cox and Tom Noonan) were very convincing monsters in their own right. Sixes' thread.
