Kid, I'm trying to tie this to Run of the Arrow, but I scrolled through a lot a verbiage and never found an applicable quote. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks, lavender. I'll try this one: Large cast, convoluted plot. Sometimes they get confused, so they open the script to find out what they're to do next. At one point a --split-off-- subplot group are able to rejoin the others because they had consulted the script to find out where they were. ???

(Oh -- early 1950s: There was a setup about a plane that specialized in hitting sleazy drinking spots on the joke page of BOY'S LIFE Magazine. It came to mind when I ran across that clue.)
