  4. Not that one. Comedy Western.
  5. Thanks. Re Ms. Lamarr, facts & rumors on her life put her, IMO, in a class with that Mexican tyro Emilio Fernandez. I.E, in each case there is a great biopic there, if the right people are put in charge of it. Next up: Mid-1960s movie, Western setting. Color. Fairly popular. Caused some hassle when taken abroad. Publicity and ads in Europe showcased and emphasized a support player who was more popular there than some of the bigger names. Threats of legal action, until the ads were returned to their original form. The movie? Some of the Names involved?
  6. 356 "...nine, ten! Ready or not, here I come!"

  8. Correct. The passage quoted has not been posted anywhere that I can find. -- I simply picked it up when I saw the movie; and may best be cited as a paraphrase. Bob Hoskins said the line to Cher's character soon after they met, and a plot tangent was established. patsy's thread.

  17. The episode Cruel and Unusual, aired in Dec of 1996. Emgee's thread.
  18. The series. Late 1990s crime-investigation procedural about an FBI team that tracked important cases. Melded with the "wild talent" type of stories that were popular then, about people with special abilities. (Millennium, Strange Luck, The Pretender, The Others, etc). The woman agent who led the team had an ESP-type ability that allowed her to make mental leaps to usually accurate conclusions upon receiving a scrap of information, taking a quick glance at a crime scene, or other minimal clues. The guest. An actress who had been working since very young. In the late '60s had worked in a Western Epic with a very big star in a role as a scrappy heroine. In an episode about a jailed serial killer approaching his scheduled execution, she portrayed a sympathetic groupie-type of supporter, organizing protests, and actually helping the condemned man on the outside, performing covert tasks in hope of saving his life. Series? Actress?
  19. WORTH RECYCLING & SEASONILLY APPROPRIATE:[i/] "I don't usually start up things with a new woman when the World Series is about to start, but in your case I'd like to make an exception."
