I used to watch the Late Night Movies when I was a child in Chicago. The Late Night Movie with the syncopated clock theme song. It was in the late 50's or early 60's when I saw it last???

 

There was a movie set in either Phillipines or some asian island, if I recall correctly. There were military personnel on the island. A soldier fell in love with an islander. They had a baby...

 

At the end of the movie the soldier is killed while protecting the baby from some sort of air attack, I think. He was on some sort of platform...I don't remember if it was a boat but it was in drydock and not in the water, I don't think.

 

Final ending....His fellow soldier friends meet the airplane that lands in the US with the child on it.

 

 

Does this sound familiar to anyone. I hope so...it's been a long time coming....
