A while back I watched an old film with my dad. I believe it was in black and white. The main character was a young woman with shortish light colored hair who I believe was suffering from some kind of amnesia. I think the movie started out with her visiting her doctor/psychologist who I think was helping her try to recover these lost memories, but apparently with no luck. Throughout the movie I think she starts having flashbacks with scenes where theres a noose in the attic and a heart carved on a tree that bear some sort of significance. Another thing I distinctly remember is that there a flashes in the corners of the screen of little demon or troll looking things that appear and disappear throughout the movie. Sadly I don't know much else nor do I remember much else about the film. Hopefully someone can give me a name!
