  1. Dick (Dickie) Moore's book "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is super good! I got the book thru the library. A must read for all of my fellow TCM movie fans!
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3FwMa4SNLM Elijah was born yesterday, December 14. If I would have know he was a he and his name is Eli, I would have broke out singing in the waiting room!
  3. Mongo! I'm watching this Thread with great interest and excitement. My daughter and her husband are in the hospital ready to deliver their first baby. The sex and the name is a secret. It is a high risk pregnancy and the induction didn't work today, the 13th so it might be the 14th or for sure the 15th. I tried to look up birthdays with not much luck so I appreciate seeing whose birthday this amazing child may share it with! Keep up the great job you are doing for us TCM fans.

  5. Betty Lynn and Betty on the Flintstones, same round eyes
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rfHi6zN0Bw Leo Gorcy and Huntz Hall!
  7. Pier Angeli's birthday reminded me that recently in our newspapers obit a woman born in the 50's name was Pier Angeli (then her last name). She was called Angie.
  8. When I was in school we had 3 Debbies in a class of 20 students. Some said that perhaps they were named after Debbie Reynolds. All 3 girls born in 1954. Edited by: BunnyR on Jun 14, 2013 8:00 PM
  9. Joyce Renolds will be in the movie "Janie" today! Monday, June 10th!
  10. I was very impressed with Kim Novak's looks. I really did not think she had plastic surgery if she did what a great job. Betty Hutton's interview was also very touching and she didn't look anything like she did when she was younger, her voice was the same. Ginger Rogers was the same, grew naturally older but her voice remained the same. I do think some people are blessed with great genes, almost a fluke of nature. Cindy Crawford is so beautiful but her mother and sisters are shorter and more common looking. It seems that a lot of Hollywood people have mental illness, I don't know if the Hollywood lifestyle, demands contribute to this. The women have to remain so very thin.
  11. I saw a movie with a young Virginia Grey and her profile looks like Drew Barrymore's. Maybe mongo you can post photos of them. I was surprised when watching Olivia deHaviland's movie this week that her voice and her looks were so much like her sister's Joan Fontaine. I had never noticed this before. I have become a fan of Wallace Beery and Fred MacMurray. TCM has brought the talents of those long ago to light, .....they very much deserve!
  12. A must see Hedy Lamarr and her family on "To Tell the Truth"
  13. What a movie! I looked but Vera Clouzot, the actress who played the wife, she died of a heart attack 5 years later at 46! Robert should have mentioned this.
  14. I love "Portrait of Jenny" I bought it and watched it just now on TCM. I always fall asleep during it, it's the music and the "quietness" of the movie. I read where Jennifer Jones 3rd husband met her because he wanted to purchase the painting from this movie.
  15. Errol Flynn................I watched "Too Much, Too Soon" yesterday, interesting how his life was very much like John Barrymore's (whom he played in this movie). My ex-husband looks almost exactly like Flynn. He is on his 4th marriage and an alcoholic. His first name is Rory, and Flynn had a daughter named Rory. He has not seen our daughter for 25 yrs. even tho he as always lived within 20 miles of her. He is in his mid 50's and still alive. Hollywood must be a rough town. So many sad stories and suicides "back in the day". And I'm not sure if many of today's stars' are not living their own sad stories.
