  1. Dick (Dickie) Moore's book "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is super good! I got the book thru the library. A must read for all of my fellow TCM movie fans!
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3FwMa4SNLM Elijah was born yesterday, December 14. If I would have know he was a he and his name is Eli, I would have broke out singing in the waiting room!
  3. Mongo! I'm watching this Thread with great interest and excitement. My daughter and her husband are in the hospital ready to deliver their first baby. The sex and the name is a secret. It is a high risk pregnancy and the induction didn't work today, the 13th so it might be the 14th or for sure the 15th. I tried to look up birthdays with not much luck so I appreciate seeing whose birthday this amazing child may share it with! Keep up the great job you are doing for us TCM fans.

  5. Betty Lynn and Betty on the Flintstones, same round eyes
  6. Joyce Renolds will be in the movie "Janie" today! Monday, June 10th!
  7. I saw a movie with a young Virginia Grey and her profile looks like Drew Barrymore's. Maybe mongo you can post photos of them. I was surprised when watching Olivia deHaviland's movie this week that her voice and her looks were so much like her sister's Joan Fontaine. I had never noticed this before. I have become a fan of Wallace Beery and Fred MacMurray. TCM has brought the talents of those long ago to light, .....they very much deserve!
  8. A must see Hedy Lamarr and her family on "To Tell the Truth"
  9. I love "Portrait of Jenny" I bought it and watched it just now on TCM. I always fall asleep during it, it's the music and the "quietness" of the movie. I read where Jennifer Jones 3rd husband met her because he wanted to purchase the painting from this movie.
  10. Errol Flynn................I watched "Too Much, Too Soon" yesterday, interesting how his life was very much like John Barrymore's (whom he played in this movie). My ex-husband looks almost exactly like Flynn. He is on his 4th marriage and an alcoholic. His first name is Rory, and Flynn had a daughter named Rory. He has not seen our daughter for 25 yrs. even tho he as always lived within 20 miles of her. He is in his mid 50's and still alive. Hollywood must be a rough town. So many sad stories and suicides "back in the day". And I'm not sure if many of today's stars' are not living t
  11. Oh my.................Andy Griffith is gone. I emailed my daughter to tell her she must name my first grandson Andy Griffith! Not expecting yet but...
  12. I want to be careful not to cross the line on the message board rules. I'm not trying to sell something but....I received my free copy of the magazine "Films from the Golden Age". I use to buy this magazine in a bookstore which closed. Our cable has been messed up all this memorial day weekend. I had so much fun reading this magazine. They cover little known actors and the major ones. Plus......it was hot, I had dental surgery......etc....so what a great comfort to be entertained the old fashion way, reading!
  13. Mongo, I donate every book, magazine to my local library. I had our local library find me the article about Gail Russell in Classic Images. Poor woman was a mess, she left her brief marriage several times. I enjoyed E! Mysteries & Scandals show and first heard about her and Susan Cabot on this show................oh how I wish they still ran this program.
  14. Fellow Fans! Free magazines classicimages.com and be sure to check out the golden age of film. They will send out a free complimentary issues. The bookstore I bought these at went out of business, so happy to have this opportunity. YOU will LOVE these publications!
  15. I found this youtube of Wendy Barrie's show, she is very entertaining. Be sure to see the end where she sells donuts "for all of your teenager's parties" "Be a good bunny"
