  1. Bunny Lake definitely isn't my favorite Otto Preminger flick, I actually agree with you about how long and slow paced it is. the only part I really like is the Zombies do the soundtrack;)
  2. 1967 was a great year in movies: The Graduate, Bonnie and Clyde, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Barefoot in the Park, Cool Hand Luke, In Cold Blood, In the Heat of The Night.. ect.
  3. I think twilight zone was way more sci-fi than night gallery. that show was more about supernatural stuff like that one episode where this alcoholic thought she had ghosts in the attic of her new home, and she gets her ex husband up there hoping he'll have a heart attack. remember that one?
  4. Hello, Jerry. If I remember correctly, this was an episode of Night Gallery
  5. The Fly is one of my alltime favorite giant bug movies cause of how awesome it was when they finally showed what he looked like
  6. someday tcm will feature this movie in The Essentials
  7. i just read that on April 18th that TCM is actually airing two movies that i've been requesting for over 2 years now, *(back when you didn't have to register an account to use the Request a Movie feature.)* *Beach Ball (1965)* and *Girls on the Beach (1965)*. some may think of these movies as corny beach party nonsense, but it would actually mean alot to me to finally see these again after such a very long time. if TCM ends up cutting either of these movies out of their finalized April schedule, i might stop watching this network. i remember a while back they had *Andy Warhol's Resturant (1965)* scheduled and they deleted it seriously the night before it was supposed to air.. mfw X-(
  8. I wish tcm would show glory stompers and the last movie on tcm underground. that would be a good night
  9. I just found out that TCM will be showing both Beach Ball and Girls on the Beach on April 18th! this is quite groovy.
  10. I totally agree.. I wish Glory Stompers would get a proper Dvd release as well.
  11. hmmm. makes sense. i mean how else could a movie made with no budget have such a great soundtrack.
  12. > {quote:title= > > in the directors commentary of Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper claims that all he needed was the artist's permission to use their song in the movie. i mean, there's the completed super low budget film with an awesome soundtrack to back it up..}{quote} >
  13. back when they filmed Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper said that all you needed was the artist's permission to use a rock song in a movie. It would have been way more expensive to have music scored for the picture then to have a rock soundtrack. times have sure changed since then, now it's the other way around.
  14. > {quote:title=finance wrote:}{quote}Once again, Bacharach was not rock and roll, including "What the World Needs Now......." Burt was the pop composer that most rockers liked.
  15. i remember the first time i saw Bob Carol Ted and Alice when 'What the World Needs Now is Love' came on at the end, and everyone was in the street, that scene blew me away. also in Psych Out they feature the Strawberry Alarm Clock's music. including Incense and Peppermints. The Trip starring peter fonda features a soundtrack by the Electric Flag.
  16. the war is over. barbarella is sexy, tcm please play barbarella.
  17. loved the twist ending! i heard this movie inspired Romero to make Night of the Living Dead.
  18. LSD-25.. ah the good ol days never knew that about Cary Grant, back then it was actually legal.
  19. this thread and rosebud are his only true loves
