What are your thoughts on the 23 year old Hollywood actress Karyn Kupcinet, who was murdered days after the Kennedy assassination. The case remains unsolved to this day. Some theories link her with the assassination, claiming that she had learned of the events through her father's various connections, and a mere twenty minutes before Kennedy is shot she placed a long distance call from the Los Angeles area. Ray Sheehan, manager of the Oxnard division of General Telephone Co., said the caller "stumbled into our operator's circuits," perhaps by misdialing. According to reports, the long distance operator heard Miss Kupcinet scream into the telephone that President Kennedy was going to be killed. There was an Associated Press dispatch printed in the Chicago Daily News of November 23, 1963, originating from Oxnard, California, which told approximately the same story.

Karyn Kupcinet's body was discovered on 30th November, 1963. Police estimated that she had been dead for two days. The New York Times reported that she had been strangled. Her actor boyfriend, Andrew Prine was the main suspect but he was never charged with the murder and the crime remains unsolved.

"Going back to when we were children, I think most of us in this courtroom thought justice came automatically. That virtue was its own reward. That good triumphs over evil. But as we get older, we know this isn't true. Individual human beings have to create justice, and this is not easy because the truth often poses a threat to power and one often has to fight power at great risk to themselves.."

Oh, don't get me wrong I've always loved that song. Some of Clapton's best work with Derek and the Dominoes, and the instrumental outro is beautiful. Duane Allman's slide guitar.. I still have the vinyl l.p. as a matter of fact, along with all the early Cream records too.

Hahaha. Tommy clipping Batts pretty much led to his own downfall. That, and a lot of other things. I kinda felt bad when Tommy got whacked. That was cold, making him think he was getting up' ed, then shooting him instead. I know Tommy was a monster, but I couldn't help but feel bad for some reason. Pesci made him such a likeable character somehow.

    > "FredCDobbs" brings up a very good point... even with nicknames, particularly on this site, there is a lot of insult and ridicule. But thats nothing compared to knowing that there is no anonymitty, no privacy on the internet, or in any form of communication anymore. Whatever name you choose, your real identity is always known. Whats more, certainly don't post anything on the internet, and expect to remain unknown. Everytime you Google, each site, each e-mail... our governments say they have a right to monitor us, they say its for our own safety.

Good thing that I'm behind seven proxies, right? Lol. ;)

Its pretty tough to find info on the subject. I for one would like to hear more stories about what was going on in Hollywood on that day, and how the elite were affected by it. I tried to look up movies being made on that day, but all that comes up is the Zapruder film. Yeah, no kidding..

  7. > Does anyone know what other movies were being filmed on that day?

John Ford was filming his last western ever, Cheyenne Autumn, on that day. It was during the filming of the climactic conflict scene between Ricardo Montebian and Sal Mineo that production was halted due to the news of JFKs assassination.
