nice post. i like the obscure movies from the sixties that tcm rarely shows but i agree with you, that whole 30's 40's entertainment era had a certain level of class that just doesn't exist anymore.

Ride the Wild Surf is a great movie. shelly fabres walkin around that beach shack wearing that hawaiian dress. and barbara eden as oggie when she beats up chase coalfield. the only part that bothers me about this movie is when chase takes the powder out of the nike zeus rocket and it fizzles out. and then chase gets drunk and gets everyone to walk up to waimea falls to watch him jump, which was awesome, except that everyone leaves before he even jumps. but he jumps anyways, breaks his rib and can barely surf waimea the next day. then of course fabian beat everyone, including eskimo dobbs. that part when fabian shot the pineapple off eskimo's head with a harpoon was pretty cool.
