Special Note: A TCM moderator just made an announcement that the TCM message board forums will be shutting down on November 30th. I will continue to post the reviews that Jlewis and I have written, here in the Essentials thread through the end of November. I think the content will remain available for viewing until mid-February before TCM deletes everything. But all our joint reviews have been saved on my WordPress blog, as well as the many that I have written solo. I will continue to write my solo reviews...and if Jlewis is willing to keep contributing, our joint reviews will be posted on my blog every Saturday. We had already planned our November and December themes and have been working on reviewing those films. Thanks to everyone who has read the thread since it started several years ago. Thanks especially to Jlewis for his many valuable contributions. It's been a learning experience and a lot of fun. Here's the link to my blog, which is called Of or Involving Motion Pictures: https://oforinvolvingmotionpictures.wordpress.com/2022/10/19/welcome/

A bit of a shock but not really, since I think traffic to the site had decreased somewhat in the last several years. I am grateful for the chance to discuss classic films with everyone since I first joined the message board community. And I want to thank TCM for always providing good moderation and always setting a friendly and accepting tone.

A restored print was available for streaming on Amazon Prime a few years ago. I believe Paramount controls rights to the film, at least the domestic home video rights.

Neglected films...how would you define a film that's neglected?
TopBilled replied to TopBilled's topic in General Discussions
I was more engaged in the story of the Governor and his wife, than I was in the main love story. And I found Terangi's prison scenes highly repetitious and nearly tuned out during some of that. But overall, I thought it was a swell film. THE HURRICANE has not aired on TCM since 2015. -
