I saw part of this movie on TCM years ago and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name. It took place on some islands during a war. Probably in the Pacific during WWII, but I am not sure. There was a soldier who fell in love with a singer/actress when she performed for the troops. Later they meet again and he somehow manages to take her to a deserted island, I think he flies her there. I think he had fought there before because there were old foxholes. Anyhow, when the get there he reminds the girl of the performance, she must have winked at him or something during it. Any how she tells him that he is just one of many soldiers that she met when she was performing and that she doesn't remember him or love him. I only saw part of the movie so I don't know how it ends. If anyone could tell me the name I would appreciate it very much. I really want to watch the whole thing. Thank you.
